I just saw "Jhoota hi Sahi" Hindi movie this weekend, a good movie circling around the biggest problem about youth suicide.
The only point where it got my attention was the scene where actress named in movie "Mishka" calls john and tells him she is gonna kill her self when they are strangers and dont know each others and john is supposed to the help line for the suicide cases.
John tells her to just be on phone and not to speak of a single word;because she is all choked up.
John understands if she talks actress will burst out of and may take the extreme step.
Now they are on the phone the whole night and what john asks every hour or so is "Are you there ? just be with me on phone" he dose a lot of stuff to be awake the whole night
just to save one life.
In the morning she is fast a sleep with the bottle thrown away ...yes on phone she slept and in the morning everything was all rite.. john is still holding the phone...
When she gets up and checks he says "Good morning .. and how are you feeling now ?" and she is very happy that he has helped her to bring out from that dark night to a
beautiful new morning light, a real life savior.
I loved this whole sequence really well , It made me think how fragile we are at bottom of the heart with 6,697,254,041 as our World population not a single person who understands you ???
How we get frightened for small things, places&people.
what is that something which connects you with others?
What is more important being on phone ? or just a feeling that someone cares?
may be some ones cares gets voted ...
One time we are this very fearless people and some other times softer than a piece of chocolate cake , why would be the next obvious question which needs a answer.
The only message I want to say is give your friends a ear whenever they need it , don't leave them alone wondering till the time they take any wrong step, every one loves to be heard.
Drop your egos and talk to them without any prejudice,be the change you want to see in the world.
Dont take life so seriously ,no one gets out alive :)

ReplyDeleteWt provoked you to write this...?But really a good one...
Seen such situations closely..and knowing how vulnerable people can get when depressed...It is really important that we don't abandon anyone...and be with the person till he/she is able to move on in his/her life...
About Bungee jumping..the best quote is
"I figured out falling is the best thing in life ... it clears all your doubts ,and brings you closer to yourself."
